Day 5 -Pic of the Day

I couldn't resist posting this one...

I just have to add that I am amazed at how well he is bonding with us. He loves playing with us and being with us and being held by us. He cried for 30 minutes really hard when he woke up in our hotel room that first afternoon. But, since then, he has done very well. I prayed so hard about this. I specifically prayed that God would build a bond between us through all the miles we were apart. He seems to have done that. I'm truly amazed at this little boy. Before we met him we had never seen a picture of smiling. We were concerned about that. Now, to see this beautiful little child running to us laughing and smiling brings us overwhelming joy. I'm crying as I wrote this. I think I'm officially a mom now. Print Friendly and PDF

My emotions are over flowing!! It is great to know that the bond between the three of you has the Lord's hands over it. Katherine, I still remember when you were that little and now you are a Mom!! I have tears of happiness in my eyes everytime I read your blog!!

I started to cry when I was reading the part about Sheehan running back and forth between Steve and you with a big smile and a big hug, calling Steve "Baba". I am crying again as I read about how well all three of you have been bonded already. It is truly amazing. I don't know how often he got to go out of the orphanage but seeing him in a car with you, eating at a hotel restaurant (Kate, you have the expression of being "Mom",your kind face looking at your son), shopping, not understanding the language, leaving the place he was familiar with, yet he knows and understands you are his mom and dad and that he feels safe and happy in your arms. God is good and gracious. Kate, I keep thinking about the conversation we had one time at my house. I see God is carrying you through. He is faithful. I am so thankful to be a part of your life and feel privileged to witness God's faithfulness and His mighty work in and through your life. Love and prayers, Eri

    Steve and Kate,

I am so happy for you guys. It is so neat to see all the pictures of everyone smiling. I thought of you often yesterday knowing you were meeting your son for the first time. It sound like things are going really well. I can't wait to meet him. I will be praying for all of you.

I am SOOOOOO happy for you guys! God has shown himself in the bonding between mom, dad, and son. AMEN!! I love the PJ's too - are they the "Johnson" Brand? Your descriptions of what is happening to you throughout the days is wonderful! I feel I can actually SEE what is happening! We will continue to pray for you and PRAISE God for His blessings on the two of you and Sheehan. Much love!!
