Sheehan's Great Nonnie and great aunties and uncles were in town for a wedding in early December. We went down to Chicago to visit them and also enjoyed our annual trip downtown at Christmas time. Sheehan had a great time playing with Auntie Chris and Auntie Marg. Auntie Chris had some little change purses from Hong Kong that she let Sheehan have and they created a lot of fun, as seen in the videos below. The weather was a bit yucky, with freezing rain which made walking outside cumbersome. But, we persevered and had a good time looking at the window displays on State St., viewing the giant Christmas tree in the Walnut Room and sipping Peppermint Mochas from Starbucks (Sheehan had the kid-size hot chocolate).

China's disabled children are sold into slavery as beggars
A woman in my yahoo group from Sheehan's province in China sent me this article. It's very sad what happens to the disabled in China. I'm sure that many of the child beggars we encountered there were in this situation. It's especially sad because we so many disabled beggars that were children. http://www.guardian.co.uk/china/story/0,,2132015,00.html
